The units are managed using the latest generation of controllers, equipped with continuous fan control, based on a PID algorithm. The optimum indoor temperature is maintained at the lowest possible noise level.
Air vent Thanks to the use of a rubber tube on the vent connector and the fixing screw, water droplets flow into the side drip tray, preventing dripping during venting.
Heat exchanger The I-LIFE2- SLIM series fan coil units are equipped with a heat exchanger with a larger heat exchange surface compared to standard fan coil units. The unit's heat exchanger is constructed with two rows of copper tubes with aluminium fins. The number of rows allows the unit to remain slim while guaranteeing efficiency. In addition, a radiation panel with cooperating micro fans is mounted in front of the heat exchanger.
The hydrophilic coating with which the exchanger is coated prevents condensate droplets from settling on the exchanger and reaching the condensate tray faster. This counteracts the increase in airflow resistance through the wet exchanger and the decrease in exchanger efficiency.
Microfans The fan coils are equipped with micro fans located in the radiation panel, mounted in front of the main heat exchanger. These are activated in night mode when the water temperature is higher than 32°C. The noise is reduced by switching off the main fan. Heating is only carried out using the effect of radiation and natural convection. In short, the unit works very similarly to common panel heaters. In summer, when the unit is in cooling mode, the micro fans are switched off.
Electronics The integrated control board in the I-LIFE2- SLIM series fan coil units allows the fan speed to be adjusted using a PID controller. The use of continuous fan control based on the PID algorithm enables the optimum room temperature to be maintained at the lowest possible noise level.
Fan The I-LIFE2- SLIM series fan coils are equipped with a cross-flow fan that guarantees a balance between performance, loudness and efficiency. The advantage of this type of fan is quiet operation.
The fan speed is controlled by the PID controller. It is driven by a NIDEC brushless DC motor.
