RECUPERATOR

- Filter set
The units are equipped with three sealed filter pockets so that contaminants cannot penetrate through leaks between the filter frames and the unit. The filters are located in special pockets that are easily accessible. Optional PM2.5 and NOx filters provide maximum protection against the introduction of airborne pollutants into the building.

- Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger is the heart of the Lossnay unit. It is made of synthetic material and enables sensible heat recovery. The outside air is heated or cooled by the exhaust air, so that fresh air is supplied to the rooms at a temperature close to that of the room.
- Temperature sensor
Resistance temperature sensors are used to measure the air temperature. Their readings determine, among other things, the automatic switching between heat exchange mode and bypass mode. - Bypass
In summer, if the outside air is colder than the indoor air, the unit will start drawing in air directly from outside, bypassing the heat exchanger. It is possible to select manual or automatic switching between 'Lossnay ventilation (with heat exchange)' and 'Bypass ventilation (without exchange)' - Fan
Quiet operation
Designed by Mitsubishi Electric, the sirocco fan ensures exceptionally quiet operation of the unit. The fan is designed to optimise the balance between airflow and static pressure, resulting in low noise emissions. The design of the fan enables the expected static compression to be achieved with a minimum of fan speed.Motor
The highly efficient DC motor of the fan has an additional effect on reducing noise levels.
Thanks to the split iron core, a high-density motor winding can be achieved. The motors are characterised by high efficiency and high quality. They are manufactured on a fully automated line in Japan.Variable air flow
The default fan speed value for both intake and exhaust air can be adjusted more flexibly. Between 25% and 100%, the airflow can be adjusted by 1% to achieve a satisfactory airflow rate. This simplifies the airflow setting during commissioning. - Controller
The controller for the VL vertical recuperator is supplied with the unit. The remote control is located in the front panel of the unit. Its colour has been matched to the recuperator casing. The remote control makes it possible to control the recuperator and to read the unit's operating parameters, such as: manual or automatic fan speed, manual by-pass mode, reading the CO2 concentration, etc. - Controller board
The electronics of the VL_CZPVU recuperator are easily accessible from the bottom of the unit. The sliding PCB solution makes installation and service much easier. The metal cover of the plate prevents dust from entering (unexpected short circuit) and protects the electrical components.External flow control
By means of a 0-10V signal supplied from an external source, the air flow rate of the unit can be changed. The Lossnay unit can also be connected to a light switch or kitchen hood This allows the fan speed to be automatically varied according to the presence of people, the operation of the hood, the CO2 level and the humidity level.
Heater control
Low outdoor temperatures risk freezing the condensate condensing on the exchanger. If it freezes, there is a risk of blocking the airflow through the recuperator and potentially damaging the unit. The system can be equipped with a pre-heater acting as a protection against such a situation.
The air flowing through the recuperator is already pre-heated by heat recovery in the cross-flow heat exchanger. When the outside temperature drops, this recovery may not be sufficient and air at too low a temperature is blown into the rooms. In order to reheat the air to the desired temperature, a secondary heater should be used.MELCloud module (Wi-Fi) as standard
MELCloud enables quick and easy remote control and monitoring of Mitsubishi Electric equipment. A wireless internet connection at the facility where the unit is installed and an internet connection on a tablet, smartphone or PC are required. The room air conditioner and/or Ecodan unit can also be controlled at the same time. Some of the functions of MELCloud are: on/off, airflow setting and change of operating mode and display of filter/exchanger status - Drain nozzle
The unit is equipped with two condensate drain connections. As the units do not recover latent heat (i.e. related to the moisture in the air), it is necessary to drain the condensate generated during operation.
